“Art on BART,” an interventionist public art exhibition

On view April – July 2014

In 2013 I conceived of and curated an interventionist public art exhibition that replaced the ads in San Francisco’s BART cars. The first-ever use of multiple different ads inside what’s referred to as a “branded car” on BART, each of the six ad spaces was replaced by the work of six different local artists and collectives. We raised funds on Kickstarter to buy enough ad space inside six branded cars, and the idea was so innovative that BART allowed our ads to stay on the trains for an extra three months.
