Barney Levitt: As I See It

Simple still life scenes that overflow with intricate detail have become Barney Levitt’s signature style. He creates collages of interesting items and interprets them in paint, always remaining faithful to the reality before him. The Whistler House Museum of Art is featuring 45 of his incredible contemporary realist oil paintings in their newest exhibition – a solo show from Barney Levitt titled “As I See It.”

The Whistler House Museum first contacted Levitt three years ago about the exhibition. It will showcase a mix of still lives as well as landscapes, with perhaps a figurative work as well, but final selections won’t be made until the paintings are in the space.

“I wanted to reach as broad an audience as possible,” Levitt said.
