Polina Knyazeva is a young Russian artist working in Adelaide, South Australia. Although she has a background in architecture, her most stunning illustrations are fashion related – perfect high-cheekboned women decorated in fur, headscarves, and sweeping dresses.

She draws women with a sort of inner ferocity through bold stares and tight lips, and even though some faces are more expressive, each wistful look or hazy glance still has so much power behind it. The drawings focus on the women as forces with the clothes coming secondary, like a deserved asset to their natural beauty that is both amplified and verified by the colourful dresses that frame their figures.
